I have loved photography since I was a child with my first Instamatic.
I soon learned to appreciate the form, light, shadow and color around me.
At times, I see something which causes me to "feel". Watching and
waiting for the moment, I am ready to capture the image so that I can
share the sensation with others. At other times, I first "feel" and
imagine something which does not yet exist. It is here that artistry
and technique are joined, exploring possibilities to create images which enable others to share in the joy of the results.

packages
Many photographers charge for "packages" of sitting fees, prints, and proofs. That's ok,
except you must often choose from a limited number of "poses," or end up buying packages
containing prints you don't really want. And I have found that when other photographers say
"poses," what they really mean is "pictures." When I say "poses," I typically take several
images of each pose -- each with a slightly different expression, or to ensure nobody in a
large group blinked -- so you have several pictures to choose from each pose.

And my packaging and pricing is designed to be "user-friendly." You order only the proofs
and prints you want, and you don't pay for extra prints you don't want. This approach permits
me to charge less. Even though my fees are competitive with other photographers, I use the
same professional equipment and the same professional printing.

Beyond that, photographers offer their own unique style. Please feel free to peruse my

additional examples.

Finally, I use high-resolution digital, as well as both color and black & white professional
film in both 35 mm and medium formats. If you have a preference, please feel free to ask.

the fine print

7 percent State of Iowa, local option and school sales taxes will be added to all fees
unless otherwise noted.

Mileage will be charged at $0.315 per mile for round trips beyond 30 miles from Lamoni, Iowa.

Discounts are available for persons who agree to let me use their photos for promotional
purposes with a signed model or promotional release!
